The 3rd annual Scare Me Silly Event runs through October 27th benefitting Team Diabetes of Second Life.. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Scare me Silly Event runs through October 27th and is a bit of Halloween fun and scares. I have struggled with diabetes for many years and this charity means a lot to me.

We are pleased to announce the fourth season of Team Diabetes of Second Life! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life. According to the World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.
The official Team Diabetes of Second Life’s season will take place from October 2018 to December 2018, with the following events scheduled to take place:

Off Season Event – October 19 to October 27 – Scare Me Silly Event & Autumn Art Show
November 1, 2018- Team Diabetes of Second Life’s Season Begins
November 1 to 30 – The Red Hunt
November 1 to 30 – National Diabetes Month
November 3, 2018- The Red Ball
November 14, 2018-World Diabetes Day
November 30 to December 9 – Winter Showcase & Winter Art Show
December 31, 2018 – Team Diabetes of Second Life’s Season Ends

In addition to the events mentioned above, individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to hold fundraising events in support of Team Diabetes of Second Life! The official 2017 fundraising season toolkit will be available to the second life public on October 1, 2018, at the organization’s office in the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life.

BOSL 11th Anniversary Celebration – The 11 Days of BOSL

The BOSL family of organizations is pleased to announce completion of it’s 11th year in Second Life. Owner Reign Congrejo would like to cordially invite everyone to an 11 day celebration of this accomplishment celebrating all areas of the brand, as well as all of our supporters. This fantastic celebration will include special events, fantastic prizes, featured entertainment and will also include the newly restored Fashion Weekend with the theme “Cruising to Monaco”.

This celebration will run from October 21, 2018 through October 31, 2018 concluding with a fantastic Halloween Costume party complete with prizes and special entertainment. This celebration will also showcase some changes to the Best of Second Life brand of organizations that will launch them into the next decade as one of the leaders not only in fashion, but in all areas of Second Life.

The last few days of the annual Rock Your Rack event are here.  Ending at 11:59 pm SLT on Saturday, October 13, 2018 and to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation which provides education and mammography screenings to those in need. Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women. 1 in 8 women, and an ever increasing percentage of men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival. Make those last minute purchases for a good cause.
